Girl Power:
Women’s Roles in Indigenous Culture
with Silvermoon Mars LaRose of Tomaquag Museum
Thursday
May 2
6:00PM

Please join us as we celebrate Mothers’ Day by welcoming Silvermoon Mars LaRose of the Tomaquag Museum for this fascinating presentation on women’s roles in Indigenous culture. Narragansett communities, through history and into the present, have been held together by their matriarchs. From leaders to farmers, healers to change makers, Indigenous women are the gathering places and the glue that holds matrilineal societies together. Join us as we learn more about these societies and the many contributions of the women who form their foundations.
This program is free and open to the public, but space is limited so registration is required. Please email [email protected] to sign up.
